The Ibizan Hound has three distinct subspecies: Smooth-haired, long-haired and wire-haired. Standard colors are: white with red, white with chestnut, entirely white or red. The common variety of the Ibizan Hound is smooth-haired. These dogs shed moderately and do not require significant care. When it comes to smooth Ibizan Hound, it is enough to occasionally wipe the dog with a damp cloth. Wire-haired subspecies require only periodic cleaning with a special brush.
