Coat / Care:

The Irish Wolfhound’s coat is of medium length, tough and rough to the touch. Weight / Height

The male Irish Wolfhound dog breed’s height is around 32 – 36 inches and weighs around 110 and 120 pounds. Female Irish Wolfhound dogs can reach a size from 30 – 34 inches and weighs between 100 and 105 pounds. Male dogs are generally larger than females.

Training:

The Irish Wolfhound is an apt student who grasps all that you are trying to teach him. Education should be regular, persistent and, at the same time very tender. Obedience training should be carried out at a young age, as this large and strong dog may be tough to handle later on.
