Doodleman Pinscher

Description:

The Doodleman Pinscher is not a pure breed, in fact, this is a designer dog. He is a cross between the Doberman Pinscher and the Standard Poodle. The Doodleman Pinscher is not recognized by the AKC, as it is considered to be a hybrid breed (designer breed).

Characteristics:

The ideal Doodleman Pinscher is a well-proportioned and muscular dog. Generally, this dog breed has a characteristic muzzle and long hanging ears. The Doodleman Pinscher has good endurance, courage and agility.

Character:

Doodleman Pinschers are quite pleasant, good-natured and affectionate. These dogs are faithful, devoted and loving. The Doodleman gets along well with older children, who already know how to behave around animals. He also does well with other dogs and small pets. The Doodleman Pinscher is very suspicious of strangers, but usually does not show aggression. However, these dogs are more than capable of protecting their family, property and territory, which makes them excellent watchdogs.

Coat / Care:

Doodleman Pinschers have a curly, wavy or straight hair of medium length. Depending on the coat type, the dog of this breed may need a professional grooming, or the usual cleaning will do the work. In order to prevent infectious diseases, it is very important to keep the ears clean.

Health Problems:

The Doodleman Pinscher is generally healthy hybrid breed, but like all breeds, they can be prone to Von Willebrand disease, Bloating, Dysplasia of the Hip joint, Wobblers Syndrome, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Epilepsy and Skin Diseases.

Weight / Height:

The male Doodleman Pinscher dog breed’s height is around 26 – 28 inches and weighs around 60 and 80 pounds. Female Doodleman Pinscher dogs can reach a size from 24 – 26 inches and weighs between 40 and 70 pounds.

Training:

Despite its size, this breed seeks to dominate and can be quite stubborn. It is, therefore, mandatory to carry out socialization and obedience training at young age. Rough or heavy-handed methods are completely useless. Education should be based on firmness, fairness, patience, and consistency.

Activity:

If you dedicate sufficient time to the dog’s physical and mental development, the Doodleman Pinscher will bear living in an urban apartment. Doodleman Pinschers are also well suited for keeping in a house with a small or medium-sized yard, where they will have plenty of space for exercises. The Doodleman Pinscher just loves all kinds of family activities, and he enjoys daily walks with the owner.
