If you have a garden, this is clearly an advantage. There are even four-legged friends who love to steal the fruits themselves from the shrubs. Strawberries are a small snack in between, and also to enrich the food. You can use fresh or dried fruits. The strawberry is one of the rose family and is botanically not a berry, but a collecting nut fruit.

Strawberries have a very high content of Vitamin C, which supports the immune system of the body. The red fruits contain large amounts of iron and folic acid. High levels of calcium are important for bone growth, and magnesium and potassium are ideal for heart health.

The 20 different species of strawberries are available. Even in the Stone Age, people knew about them. In the Middle Ages, they began to cultivate them. Strawberries are not only very digestible for us humans, but are also a wonderful supplement of the daily food for our dogs. Every dog has different preferences and everyone loves other vegetables or fruits. But not all are safe for the dog.

Too many strawberries are not tolerated

Fruits and vegetables are very healthy for our dogs because they make an important contribution to a species-appropriate diet. They contain important vitamins, minerals, and enzymes.

Fibers, which are contained in fruits and vegetables, regulate the digestion optimally. At the same time, the entire digestive tract is cleaned. Strawberries promote the production of digestive juices and have a positive effect on intestinal activity. If the dog eats too much, it can make the dog have diarrhea as a result. For humans, too many strawberries can trigger pseudo allergies. Dogs are allowed to eat strawberries in normal quantities and they are usually well tolerated.
